Week 5

Day 29 01/29/11 Registration
There is a registration event in Seattle University. The purpose of this registration is if there is an accident or any disasters, Indonesian students will be registered in KBRI (Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia). As a result KBRI can know exactly where the students are, so they will be evacuated. I helped my friends to give them a ride to Seattle U for registration. The purpose of the registration is when students have problem or accident in Seattle, they will be evacuated. I already register myself a long time ago, so I actually don’t have to go to this event. However, I just want to help my friends and help them to register themselves in SU. After that, we ate together. Love is taking people to register themselves.

Day 30 01/30/11 Evening Service
I usually go to the church’s morning service. However, one of my friends asked me to go to the evening service. I also helped her to ride some of her friends to church. After the service, we ate a nice dinner with other friends. Love is taking people go to Church.

Day 31 01/31/11 Dinner at Chiang Gourmet
Today is the first time I ate with my friends that are from other districts. I realized that even though, we are from different districts and I never eat with them, we had a good time. We can laughed and shared. I learned that we are not supposed to see the differences in our characters and appearance, but we should see the similarities, the fact that we are brothers and sisters. Love is unity.

Day 32 02/01/11 Enjoy What You Do
Enjoy what you do with no complain. You are blessed to be in school, to have a job, to have friends, to be able to breathe with no difficulties. I learned how to enjoy HIS blessings. I enjoy working for my company. Love is enjoying what you do.

Day 33 02/02/11 Forgiveness
I went to Shoreline today; on my way there, I did not fully stop on one of the stop signs. I did not realize that there was a woman riding a bike on the side of the road and I stopped in front of her. Although there was still a lot of space between her and my car, she was not happy and gave me a finger. I apologized to her and she still seems to be mad. From this occurrence, I learned to forgive others. Although other people did something that upset me, I should forgive them as an expression of love. I should not have bitterness toward other people. Love is forgiving others.

Day 34 02/03/11 Chinese New Year’11
We do not really celebrate Chinese New Year in Seattle. However, me and my friends had dinner in KauKau restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year. We had a great dinner; bbq pork and roasted pork over rice. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I really had a good time. Love is sharing a meal with those you value the most.

 Day 35 02/04/11 Negative Words
I was reminded today for not saying negative words to people. I said negative words to people without me realizing it. I learned that we cannot see the real feelings and thoughts of the other person when we say negative words to them. It may seem interesting and entertaining to see their reaction, but if we want to make a joke, we should have said it without having to hurt someone’s feeling. Just like what James 3 says, love is not saying negative words but encouraging words.

Also, In Care Group time, I gave red envelope with the chocolate and a piece of paper with John3:16 on it to all people who came to Care Group today. (For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.)

Week 4

Day 22 01/22/11 Healing
One of my friend was in an accident, I sent him a message prayer in FB, he replied me back with a thankful heart and a stronger faith in God, for HIS plans is good (Jeremiah 29:11). He is now healed. That night, I went to my friend house. He is having a problem; I did not see him for a month. He has been isolating himself from the society. In the beginning, I was afraid to knock on his door. I finally knocked on his door. However, there was no response yet. I prayed in front of his door for protection from any kind of bad spirit. When I wanted to go home, I just felt like to knock on his door once again, then I knocked the door and he opened his door. I encouraged him to depend more on God and called his parents and me if he needs any help. At the end I prayed for him so that his broken heart can be healed. Love is praying for Healing.

Day 23 01/23/11 Mom's baptism news
I got message from my sister about good news in my parents’ life. There were so many people that came to visit and pray for my mom. My dad still said that our God is the same. He told me that if my mom is healed, he will receive Jesus. Although my dad said all those things, my mom made a decision to get baptized. She approached my brother and sister and asked if she can get baptized.  Pastor Jose Carol will baptize her in my brother’s house in a few days. Love is rejoicing to the Lord for HIS promise. One person gets saved, one family will be saved.
Deut 11:13-15.

Day 24 01/24/11 International People
Matthew 9:31-32 go tell the world.
When I was going to Shoreline Community College, I got a message from my friend that she was having a struggle in her mind. She was stressed in her studies. I told her to listen to “by your side” by Tenth Avenue North. This song is a wonderful and encouraging song, and I hope it will help her in her struggle. I also prayed for her. Then, she told me that she was refreshed and set free. She said that she did not get the meaning of the song, and yet her heart was touched and she cried out to the Lord in computer lab.  I just realize that what I prayed recently came true, it happened at that moment; to be more specific about the time that you pray. Also, I sent her a prayer message before she took a test.
When I wanted to go from Shoreline, I met two Asian strangers. They asked me for the direction to go to their host family. They came here as tourists. At first, I was thinking whether these people will be dangerous or not. As I talk to them even more, I found out that they actually are good people. They really were lost. So I told them that I can ride them home. We actually talked a lot, they were Chinese that went on UW trip and tried to go home by. After we arrived at their home, I realized that the house is my friend’s house. They really appreciate the ride that I gave them. If I do not take them home, I don’t know what will happen to them, they would walk to their home from Shoreline and it won’t be good for them since it’s already dark. After that, I ate dinner with my American friend. We ate in IndoCafe and talked about so many things. One of the things that he told me is that he missed a lot of his friends. We met for the last time in summer of last year and he said that he never heard from any of his friends since. Then, I gave him some updates on his friends that he missed that I know. He was really surprised that a lot of our friends went back to their home country already. He also told me that he is planning to take a master’s degree in medicine. I was glad to hear it, knowing that he will stay here for a long time. Before we went our own ways, I prayed for him. I prayed for his life, his school, and his ministry. Love is Loving International people.

Day 25 01/25/11 Congee Mekong Village
My friend is sick today. I bought her congee Mekong Village restaurant. She was happy and thankful for the congee that I bought her. Love is giving food when someone is sick.

Acts 3:17-19. Luke 4:18-19. Acts 16:16-18. Prophetic utterance. Mark 16:17-18.  Psalm 122:1, Psalm 23:6, Ephesians 2:19, Acts 2:47. Psalm 68:6, Psalm 92:12-13, 14, Acts 9:31

Day 26 01/26/11 Give two bucks and Pray for a stranger
I met my friends in Shoreline today. We talked about receiving God in their lives. The most important thing is to receive Jesus. It is not just about praying and doing good deeds. After I talked to my friends, I went to restroom at library. I saw a lot of napkins on the floor. Even though I did not know who did this,  I just cleaned up all the napkins, so when people come to restroom, they will feel comfort. I learned that ushering is not only in the Church, but also in everywhere.
When I was going to eat dinner with my friends, I saw one guy on the street waving his hands on us. I saw him and I passed him by, I thought about it and went back to check whether he needs my help or not. He asked me for some money to buy gas for his car. I gave him two bucks that I have in my wallet and pray for his life. Love is praying for stranger.
Worship song: Hope of all heart

Day 27 01/27/11 Approach to my Friend’s house
At night after prayer meeting, I got a message from my friend. He told me that his roommate is under a great stress because of some problems. In the beginning, I didn’t know what to do and so I prayed to God to help him and give him wisdom. After receiving the news, I came to his house and met him. I encouraged him and prayed for him. Somehow, I could give some advice to him. I hope that he will get better. Love is encouraging your stressed friend.

Day 28 01/28/11 My Mom’s Baptism Day
Today is a day worth celebrating. My mom finally was baptized. This is a miracle for me because the Pastor was willing to do the baptism in my brother’s house. I was really touched. The Joy of the Lord was with me because God really touched my mom’s heart and she decided to get baptized. I called my mom after she finished the baptism. She said that she has the Joy and the peace from the Lord in her heart. I am really thankful to God for this blessing. I remembered the verse on the Bible; one gets saved, the whole family will get saved. I was really thankful that this verse is slowly coming true. Love is celebration of my mom’s baptism.

My Mom Got Baptized in My Brother's House with Pastor Jose Carol
That night, I had CG and we watched “My name is Khan”. This movie is really good and I recommend this movie to those who haven’t watch it. Not only this movie is entertaining, but also this movie conveys a great message about commitment and perseverance in achieving your goal.
